Rapid Repair Handyman completed a grab bar and bathroom accessory installation at a home in Oceanside, CA. The work included three grab bars in the existing tiled shower, a new towel bar, towel hooks and a toilet paper holder. The homeowner requested that the toilet paper holder face upward.

Three Grab Bars in an Existing Tiled Shower

The installation photos show a vertical grab bar near the shower entry and two horizontal bars on the shower walls. The layout photo shows tape and laser lines before the bars were installed. This project added bathroom hardware to the existing space.

Homeowner-Supplied Grab Bars and Accessories

The homeowner supplied the grab bars and bathroom hardware for this Oceanside project. Rapid Repair handled the installation of three shower grab bars, a towel bar, towel hooks and the toilet paper holder. Grouping these items into one project allowed the requested bathroom hardware updates to be reviewed together.

The toilet paper holder was installed facing upward at the homeowner’s request. That orientation was a specific preference for this bathroom, rather than a standard arrangement being recommended for every home.

Working With the Existing Shower Walls

The existing shower had tile over a floated wall assembly with wire mesh and plywood behind it. Some mounting points fastened into studs; others used Cobra FlipToggle 1/4-inch by 2-1/2-inch toggle hardware. This describes the method used on this job, rather than a universal mounting specification for other showers.

A product’s anchor rating alone does not establish the load capacity of a complete installed grab bar. For another installation, the selected bar, fasteners and actual wall assembly need to be reviewed together against the relevant product installation requirements.

From Layout to Installed Hardware

The layout photo shows blue tape and laser lines in the shower before installation. The installed view shows one vertical grab bar near the entry and two horizontal bars on the shower walls. A separate photo shows a towel hook beside the shower.

These views let a prospective customer see both the preparation stage and the completed hardware arrangement. The work added grab bars and accessories to the existing bathroom; it did not involve a full shower or bathroom remodel.
